"How to lubricate Raymond Mill?------ from Ashfaq Syed"

Answered by Mr. Li Henan Fote Heavy Machinery Product Engineering Manager:

This machine works in mal-conditions with much dust. Therefore lubrication is needed in accordance with the regulations to guarantee the failure-free operation and life length of the machine.

1. The oil pool of analytic engine and the worm gear cabinet of elevator and the air blower should be lubricated with oil. The rotating parts and gears and other running parts will drop some iron grains, so oil change-over is necessary after operating for a week to avoid quick abrasion of the machine.

2. Then change the oil according to the change-over period on lubrication chart. Dry the old oil and clean the inside with kerosene or diesel oil and dry the oil after cleaning. Then infuse the new lubricating oil.

3. Special attention should be paid to the height oil level: the oil level or of poor of analytic engine and the worm gear cabinet of the elevator should be no more than half of the oil indicator and the oil level or air blower should be between the two reticules of oil needle. Less oil will make the machine short of lubrication and too much oil will lead to power dissipation and super-heating of the machine.

4. The bearing on the oil pool of analytic engine lubricates depending on the oil supplying by inside rotating oil pump and its rotating direction should not be mistaken.

5. Reversed rotating oil pump does not work and the bearing will have no for lubrication. Filter the oil before infusing the lubricating oil and the grease fitting should be cleaned to avoid silt.

The working conditions of grinding roller are very bad so the bearing should be lubricated and cleaned at regular intervals. Thank you for your question!
